Published under Section 5 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, read with the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. A Data Protection Officer under Section 10 becomes mandatory only if Boznaw is notified as a Significant Data Fiduciary.

8. Authorities you can approach directly

You are not required to come to us first in every case, and nothing on this page limits your access to these routes.

Grievance Appellate Committee
Constituted under Rule 3A of the IT Rules, 2021 to hear appeals against an intermediary's grievance decision, within 30 days of that decision. Appeals are filed through the portal the Central Government maintains for the purpose.
Data Protection Board of India
Constituted under the DPDP Act, 2023 with effect from 13 November 2025, to determine complaints about personal data after they have first been raised with the Data Fiduciary.
National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal
cybercrime.gov.in — for reporting cybercrime, including anonymous reports of online sexual content involving women and children.
Consumer commissions
Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, where that Act applies to the matter.
