Disclaimer
What Boznaw is responsible for and what it is not: user content, accuracy, professional advice, external links, and our position as an intermediary.
This page collects, in one place, the limits of what Boznaw can be held to. It repeats and does not enlarge the disclaimers in the Terms of Service; where the two differ, the Terms govern.
1. Boznaw is an intermediary
Boznaw hosts and transmits Content created by its Users. Under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, an intermediary is not liable for third-party information it hosts, provided it does not initiate the transmission, select its receiver, or select or modify the information, and provided it observes the due diligence the IT Rules, 2021 require.
We do not write, commission, verify or endorse what Users post. Displaying Content is not agreement with it. Removing Content is not a finding that the person who posted it broke the law; leaving it up is not a finding that they did not.
2. No warranty of accuracy
Content on Boznaw is posted by members of the public. It may be wrong, out of date, incomplete, one-sided, or written by someone with an undisclosed interest in it. Vote counts measure what other Users found worth promoting, not whether something is true.
Verify anything you intend to act on, particularly where money, health, safety, travel or a legal position depends on it.
3. Nothing here is professional advice
If you are in a medical or psychiatric emergency, or you or someone else is at immediate risk, contact emergency services. Boznaw cannot send help.
4. External links
Posts may link to websites and services we do not operate or control. Following such a link takes you somewhere governed by that site's own terms and privacy policy. A link is not an endorsement, and we accept no responsibility for what is on the other side of it, including for its safety, accuracy, availability or legality.
Never enter a Boznaw password, or a one-time code sent to you, into a site you reached from a link here. We will never ask for either.
5. Moderation is imperfect
We act on Content that is reported or that we otherwise become aware of. We do not pre-screen what Users post, and we do not claim to see everything. Content that breaches the Content Policy may remain visible until it is reported and reviewed.
Moderation decisions are made by people, and people get things wrong. That is why every decision can be appealed — see the Content Moderation Policy.
Community Moderators are Users acting in their own capacity, not our employees or agents. We do not warrant their conduct, though we may intervene where a Community is being run contrary to our policies.
6. Availability
The Services are provided on an as is and as available basis, without any commitment to uptime. They may be interrupted for maintenance, by a fault, or by something outside our control.
7. Limits of these disclaimers
Our liability, where it arises, is limited as set out in Section 13 of the Terms of Service.
