The rules
- 1
Be respectful
Argue with the point, not the person. Assume the other member is acting in good faith until they prove otherwise.
- 2
No harassment
No targeted insults, pile-ons, threats, or following someone across threads to continue an argument.
- 3
No spam
No repeated posting, engagement bait, referral links, or dropping the same link across communities.
- 4
Stay on topic
Post where the conversation belongs. Off-topic replies get moved or removed so threads stay readable.
- 5
No illegal content
Nothing unlawful, and nothing that helps someone else do something unlawful.
- 6
Protect personal information
Never post addresses, phone numbers, documents or photos of people who did not agree to be identified.
- 7
Respect local communities
If a thread affects a place where people live, write as though they are reading it — because they are.
- 8
Follow community-specific rules
Each community adds its own rules in the sidebar. They apply on top of these.
Something breaking these rules?
Use Report on the post or comment. Reports are private and reviewed by that community's moderators.
The full rules
These eight are the short version. The Community Guidelines explain them in full, and the Content Policy is the formal, enforceable statement of what may not be posted, with the categories Indian law requires us to publish.
